GAVILANES → DURANGO, 1865
Complete cover sent from the sub-office of Gavilanes to Durango, franked with a 2 reales yellow Imperial Eagle bearing the district overprint Durango 8-1865 and consignment number 93-1865.
The stamp is tied by the spectacular double straight-line "FRANCO GAVILANES" cancellation, one of the most distinctive sub-office markings recorded in the Durango district.
Only 200 stamps were supplied to the Gavilanes sub-office in this consignment, making surviving postal history from this locality particularly scarce.
The combination of a sub-office origin, clear district overprint, complete consignment number and exceptional cancellation makes this cover one of the finest known examples from Gavilanes during the Imperial Eagle period.

Lettre complète expédiée du sous-bureau de Gavilanes à destination de Durango, affranchie d'un 2 reales jaune des Aigles impériaux portant la surcharge de district Durango 8-1865 ainsi que le numéro de consignation 93-1865.
Le timbre est oblitéré par la remarquable marque linéaire double « FRANCO GAVILANES », l'une des oblitérations de sous-bureau les plus spectaculaires du district de Durango.
Seulement 200 timbres furent expédiés au sous-bureau de Gavilanes dans le cadre de cette consignation, ce qui explique la rareté des plis provenant de cette localité.
La combinaison d'une provenance de sous-bureau, d'une surcharge de district parfaitement lisible, d'un numéro de consignation complet et d'une oblitération exceptionnelle fait de cette lettre l'un des plus beaux témoignages connus de l'activité postale de Gavilanes sous le Second Empire mexicain.
LA PIEDAD TO MORELIA, 1864
Complete folded letter franked with a 2 reales orange Imperial Eagle stamp of the First Period.
The cover bears the straight-line "Franco en La Piedad" marking (Schatzkès 969), identifying the origin as the sub-office of La Piedad in the State of Michoacán.
The 2 reales franking prepaid the domestic letter rate. Covers from La Piedad during the First Period are rarely encountered and constitute desirable examples of sub-office postal history.

Lettre complète affranchie d'un 2 reales orange des Aigles impériaux de la Première Période.
Le pli porte la marque linéaire « Franco en La Piedad » (Schatzkès n°969), identifiant son origine comme le sous-bureau de La Piedad, dans l'État du Michoacán.
L'affranchissement à 2 reales correspond au tarif intérieur prépayé pour une lettre simple.
Les lettres provenant de La Piedad durant la Première Période sont rarement rencontrées et constituent des témoignages particulièrement recherchés de l'histoire postale des sous-bureaux du Second Empire mexicain.
Cette pièce illustre les premiers usages des Aigles impériaux dans les bureaux secondaires du réseau postal mexicain, avant l'introduction des numéros de consignation.

Period II – Consignment 185-1864
Front to Puebla franked with a 4 reales green bearing the Jalapa district overprint and consignment number 185-1864. The stamp is cancelled by the Jalapa administrative handstamp "4" (Schatzkès No. 606), an official administrative marking reused as a postal cancellation. This consignment included only 100 examples of the 4 reales denomination.
Période II – Consignation 185-1864
Devant de lettre pour Puebla affranchi d'un 4 reales vert portant la surcharge de district « Jalapa » et le numéro de consignation 185-1864. Le timbre est annulé par la surcharge administrative « 4 » de Jalapa (Schatzkès n°606), ancien cachet administratif réemployé comme oblitération postale. Cette consignation ne comprenait que 100 exemplaires de la valeur à 4 reales.
